    • Misc Info about IRC:

    BSoD is a partner with TechCentric to create the LostCarrier IRC network.

    If you dont plan on chatting, do not randomly connect with the java IRC client. It is very ANNOYING! If you want to see if someone is there, yes, we are. Dont always expect people to be chatty. Say hello and patiently wait for a reply! Java IRC is not piped through the BSoD Website, you are connecting from your home connection. When you connect, we know who you are, so dont think you are hiding behind the BSoD Java IRC host, because you are not.

    We also host Bitlbee, which is an IM to IRC Tunnel. You can use your favorite IM Services from your IRC Client. More information about BitlBee will be added later.

    IRC Server Info:

  • irc.bsodtv.org 6667: normal connection
  • irc.bsodtv.org 6697: SSL connection
  • irc.bsodirc.org 7777: bitlbee connection

    • For SSL, make sure "accept self signed/invalid certs" is Enabled.
    If using stunnel with a non-SSL capable client, add into stunnel.conf:

    [irc-ssl]
    accept = 6667
    connect = irc.bsodtv.org:6697

    Restart stunnel and connect to the LOCAL computer (not irc.bsodtv.org)
